Finished the week strong, but I am still not confident I will be able to move on to Week 3. I guess I will have to wait and see how the test goes on Sunday.

Well I figured since I am redoing Week 2 I might as well bump myself up to the next level…. that was a big mistake. On 2 out of 5 sets I was unable to reach the goal Reps. On Wednesday I will go back to last weeks plan and try to get higher max Reps on the last set.

After two weeks I took the Week 2 Test, but I didn’t meet the requirements to move on to Week 3. This week I will be doing the Week 2 regime over again, but since I have made some progress I will be stepping up to level 2.
Initial Test: 4 Push Ups
Week 2 Test: 10 Push Ups
I am a bit dissapointed, but in the back of my mind I knew there would be a point where I would have to repeat a week or two.

I am sore and tired, but I managed to get caught up. Torrorrow I rest and Sunday I take the Week 2 test. Hopefully I will be able to move on to Week 3. If not I will be doing Week 2 summer school.
Last night I did a little experiement. I got in the push up position but with my hands on a scale to see how much weight was on my arms when doing a push up. The scale said 214. That’s about 65% of my body weight.

Today I did my push ups in my office after lunch. I wanted to do them as early so my muscles have more time to rest as I am going to try to get back on track tomorrow.

Well I am a day behind. I went out to meet some new people last night and didn’t plan well enough to get my push ups in. Hopefully I will be able to get back on track at some point in the next week.
The way the program works is based on your last test you do 4 sets of a specified amount of push ups and the 5th set you do your max, but with a minimum number you must do. Last week I struggled to make the minimum amount, but tonight my minimum was 5 and I did 9! I actually did 10, but on the 10th my arms failed before I could get them fully extended so I didn’t count it.

Well I can happliy say I completed the first week of the hundred push-ups program. I can now do two more push ups than I could a week ago.
I was looking ahead at the program and week 3 has me a bit nervous because the lowest level starts out at 15 push ups. Currently I can only do 6 and I am not sure I can add 9 more to that total in a week, but who knows. I guess if I can can’t move on to week 3 I could always re do week 2 at the next highest level.
Also I forgot to post about it but I walked 30 mins on Thursday evening.

I am/was pretty sore and I wasn’t sure if I could complete todays routine, but I managed to do it. Friday will be the true test as it’s the first day where they me doing one more push than my intitial test max.
I haven’t been doing very well when it comes to sleep and water, but I am going to try harder the rest of the week to drink more water. Old sleep habits, however, are hard to break.
